and I've heard plenty of Avalon's painting skill on tt.net, but never by anyone not on this site. There are quite a few painters in the NoVa area that are known across automotive communities and people (with more $$ than most Z owners) travel the country to come to them for paint work. Thinking you lived in NoVa, I found it odd you wouldn't use one of them. Are they any better than Paul, maybe, my point was more that it was a long way to go for a paint job. Since you live in Jersey it makes more sense to me now, but not because they have a better sounding name. I still don't get that part of it, but I guess I'm not the type of person that gets caught up in what people think about what I choose to do. I could care less if I had to tell people my car was painted by Wal-Mart as long as the results were great. I'll let the quality speak for itself, not the name. As for trashing his customers cars, sure, he's a business and has probably had to do some cars some of us would find ricey or tasteless, but I assure you their paintjobs are as nice as what yours will end up being. My friend's FD that I pointed you to as a reference is a serious car that would handle 99% of the cars on this board their ass on any road course. So you see, they do work on quality cars as well. Either way, no big deal to me, I was just trying to help out with your decision. Good luck on the paint job.
